Gottscho-Schleisner Collection

Another fantastic resource from the Library of Congress Prints & Photographs Collections!

Architectural photographs often made on commission for architects, designers, and commercial businesses.  The collection includes interiors and exteriors of homes, stores, offices, factories, historic buildings, and other structures, primarily in the northeastern United States and Florida. Also, documentation of the 1939-1940 World's Fair in New York. Work by Gottscho before the establishment of the firm Gottscho-Schleisner, Inc. includes views of New York City and the surrounding area and images of family and friends.
